If you don't have any luck the WSU you could also try smart network and see if that is any different.

    Thank you.
I've downloaded and installed it, but still Windows hangs up on me during shut down :(
Maybe there is another version to try?

I could load that smart network onto my TX5 that is meant to use the wireless switcher also so i recommended you to try it.

Try the wirleess switcher for a SZ3 EU model.
I think it is different from the driver that you tried.

If that doesn't work then it is just a case of you going through the link that leslieann posted and trying the different smart network drivers that are listed.

I appreciate you help! The last utility is working good!!! But it doesn't work with my WWAN modem (built in SonyEricson EDGE modem) It has only two options:
    WIFI - ON/OFF & BT-ON/OFF, no WWAN switch :(
I think I'll have to give up on WWAN, because edge is already outdated technology.

Ah ok you have a model with wwan. EU SZ1-5 models did not come with integrated wwan.
If you haven't tried this i think you try the wwan switcher software for the SZ4 US model.

I have tried all available utilities. but still no luck. The Smart Network can enable/disable the built in WWAN module, but during the shut down Windows 7 hangs up. If I remove Smart Network everything works fine again and I can shut down Windows normally. I think Windows 7 can not disable WWWAN, because it's always showing tray icon that modem is connected, if I am trying to "safely remove the hardware" nothing happens and it still there. Probably I will have to give up on WWAN module. :(

So none of those Smart Wi drivers work with W7 32bit? I find that very odd. This could be down to the software you've installed or not installed. Really the majority of your Vista 32bit drivers should work right down to the power management and event service etc.

Everything is working fine, except the EDGE module and SmatrWI. All the drivers were installed in the special order according to Sony's Installations Guide. Event service is working, power management is working, hdd protection is working, hm... what else? BT and WiFi are working correctly, Fingerprint scanner works good. Built in camera is working fine, I can use it for skype's video-calls!

The problem accrues only when I install SmartWi or Smart Network. I will explain:
SmartWi can switch on/off my all of my wireless devices, but during the shut down Windows shows me error "Unable to shut down SmartWi". But still it can switch off WWAN module.

The Smart Network works fine until I enable WWAN module, what happens:
WIndows just hangs up on me during the shut down and I have to turn off my laptop using the power button. After disabling WWAN module, Widnows shots down properly! So my guess: something is wrong is Vista WWAN driver, because Windows 7 is unable to unmount the WWAN module before the shut down process :(
