I haven't been exactly happy with this unit for some time...it was in for service this past spring for overheating and hasn't been the same since. Thank God I have my old ThinkPad 600E so I am still able to get online, allbeit slowly...

I am hoping fo any recommendations to repair this untimely breakdown.

Thanks for any direction you might provide....I still have video to edit!

There are many reasons that can lead to that problem: virus, trojan horse, hardware malfunction, etc. You need to be more specific to get more helpful suggestions.

Do any of the unit lights come on, even for a flash? Does any part of the boot sequence start? Do you get intermittent boot success? Soccy was right, there are a few reasons. I doubt viruses or trojan horses as those a actually not just waiting to pounce on your machine, but there is a chance and those are certainly the easiest to take care of. But further information from you will help point out differences between hardware and software issues.
