Im not for sure. I thought I pretty much hit every key with blue and the fnc. button. Is that suppose to do something. It seems to mostly affect the 7-8-9-y-u-i-h-j-k-l-n-m area of the key board.

what laptop is it? On the vaio z, that means your "scr lk/num lk" key has been pressed. that's why there's a light above the F9 key for num lock.

Im not sure the model I will have to look. It is one of the cheaper budget ones. I will try again holding the fnc. and num lock tonight. Any other things to try at the same time are appreciated. Thanks again.

The main point is that you need to toggle NumLock.

Whether that is [shift/cntrl/Fn] - Numlock on your machine, is the part you can play around with.

You should be able to see a word that looks something like "NumLk" somewhere neat the upper right.

Thanks everyone for the replys it worked!! I had to push the windows button and the num/scr LK and now it works. What is the windows button do and why would you want some of the keys to type numbers or
other characters? Just curious. Thanks again the people in this forum are the best! Good Day.
