    computers are pretty decent, great looking designs, bloatware sucks on them and so does customer service

    do a fresh install and you won't even know it's a sony considering they don't make their own computers.

    No mainstream company makes their own computers. Most computers are made by Compal, Quanta, and Asus.

    I thought that Fujitsu (not Fujitsu-Siemens) and Panasonic both manufactured their own notebooks.

    Mainstream, as in Dell, HP, Toshiba, Sony, Acer...etc. Fujitsu and Panasonic are large companies, but relatively small players in the laptop market.
