Hi, I just turned in my fujitsu N6410 for the Sony AR250g
The reason for turning it in was because sometimes the sound card would not install at boot up. Did it a dozon time over a 10 day period, brand new, $2k N6410, what else could be wrong with it...
Now not 4 hours into setting up my new $3k AR250, it's locked up twice and has kicked me off the internet 5 times with the "bla bla bla explorer must shut down....."
Besides that, the volume even turned all the way up is at best not loud enough.
All this and I haven't even started installing my software and have yet to start restoring my data!
What gives?

Well, took it back today and got a NIB replacement. So far, 6 hrs into setting it up and so far no errors. Hmmmmm........

Good to hear you got one that is working properly. The AR series is pretty nice, you should enjoy it, assuming it's problem free, which most seem to be.
Unfortunately there isn't much you can do about the sound, I have yet to find a way to make it louder. If you're using WMP, using the SRS and equalizer help considerably. -
Depending on what Im watching it's good, sometimes too low but I've seen that on other laptops so Im sure it's not just this on. Besides, my external speakers make up for it.
I've been on this new one now a solid 3 days and so far it has kick a$$. I knew it would, which is why I wanted to get the same one when I took it back. My last 3 laptops have all been vaio.
The only drawback is while typing on the keyboard, I sometimes will tap on the thumb pad with my hand and next thing I know I'm typing somewhere else or my curser is gone. The thumb pad is just about flush with the surface and I didn't notice it at first, I didn't notice at first and was wondering why this was happening, and with as sensitive as it is Im just being more careful to keep my hand away from it. -
Hi NickAz you should definitely adjust the setting in the mouse properties that says "Disable click-to-select during key input".
