My dad bought a Sony AR series computer tonight (AR605E) and he has asked me to optimize it. As hard as I tried to get him to let me, he refuses to let me do a Vista clean install. so I am stuck trying to uinstall things one by one. This is a fantastic computer, but I've never seen so much bloatware! I thought Acer was bad but Sony makes it look like nothing. I know about telling drivers from optional software yada yada yada, but I'm mostly wondering about all the Vaio stuff installed at the end of the list like.. Sony power manager. I know when I uninstalled this in Acer for example I lost all power management options. The options in XP did not take over in work. I want to leave what I need to and get rid of everything I can. Help would be appreciated. Thank you.
