This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Afternoon everyone.

    Have posted this in the AW owners thread, but thinking will get a quicker reply here.

    I have a VGN-AW11z/b. Works brilliantly, only problem is, the power jack is slightly loose which is causing it to jump between battery and AC mode.

    I have stripped down the laptop and found there was nothing i could do apart from buy another part and fit it.

    I have sourced a part for a AW21s model. Which seems exactly the same to me.

    Would the power jack + cable be the fine to fit into my AW11z?

    I presume the hardware in each model will be the same?

    Anyone able to shed any light on this?
