    Hi .

I Downloaded and installed the new Sony updater, and ran it. It proceeded to download 350 mb of data and then as expected - install everthing.

As it was downloading I noticed that it stored the files in
    c:\Update

When it rebooted all these files had gone, but the new software was installed.
    This anoyed me beacasue
    1) After a reboot they had all dissapeared and I want to back those exe driver updates up - where did they go (very poor show sony im not impressed, dont mess with folks files)

So what i want to know is where are these files now and how do I back up my data as I pay for my bandwidth, and get bsod every month and have to use clonezilla to re-image my laptop (Vista is bad, very bad). Im hoping the new updates will stop the bsod's but none the less i need to back them up.

Kind regards, thank you for reading, and a big thanks in advance to any replys - i may not respond to everyone, but rest assured I will read it and appreciate it big time.

    Jamos.

Don't use sony update. Install the drivers yourself.
