I've been using this mouse for about two weeks now and it works pretty well. Only problem I have is, I have to open the bluetooth settings and connect to the device everytime I start windows. Sometimes I have to do it again when waking from standby and hibernation. The annoying part is that I usually have my touchpad off and so I have to use the keyboard to open bluetooth and connect. Is there any way to make the mouse connect on boot?

i dont know of a fix but you may want to delete the mouse from the laptop and then put it back in.

Once your mouse is installed and registered in the BT settings, you should only have to click the right/left mouse button to connect after startup/hibernation/standby (look for the bluetooth logo on the task bar to change from white to green after about two secs). BTW, how's your battery life...I'm only getting a little over a week before that damn light starts flashing with the Sony mouse.

Actually, NiMh batteries are best suited for camera flashes, digital cameras, and other high-current-draw devices.

Alkalines will fare much better in devices that need only slow, low-draw power such as mice. My bluetooth mouse can go for literally months on a single AA battery. If you're only seeing a couple week's use, then it is likely due to battery type.

Do you mean that I should click the right and left buttons at the same time? I have a bluetooth logo in my taskbar(which is for the bluetooth settings program) and it is always blue I think. I'm not sure what you mean by white to green. I will try removing and adding the mouse again.
The Sony batteries that came with the mouse only lasted me about a week as well. I just put some Duracell batteries in there so I'll see how long they last.

*I'm assuming you're using the Toshiba stack*

Once the device is registered in the BT settings (when you double click the BT logo on the taskbar you should see the mouse inside the BT settings box) you only need to click either the right or left mouse button to connect (w/ switch 'on' of course). The BT logo on the taskbar is blue w/ a white logo...the white logo should turn green when connected to a device.

So my batteries ran out of juice again today. I think they lasted about two weeks. I probably use my mouse for about 3 hours a day on average. Does this sound right? Could my mouse be defective? All the Sony bluetooth mouse users please chime in.
