I've just fallen in love with this laptop... http://vaio.sony.ie/view/ShowProduc..._cons&pageType=Overview&category=VN+CR+Series

My primary use will be photoshop and internet, no gaming. What do people think of the specs...will I be able to run photoshop without difficulty?

As an aside, does anyone know how much VAT I would be charged if I looked at importing a laptop from the US(to Ireland)? With the exchange rate, it would probably work out cheaper.

    Thanks heaps!

so what is your spec , rich9974?

I am buying a similar model for my friend and I am wondering if T8100 much faster than the T7250 .............both are almost the same price range here so.

    thanks.

hi , this model is probably almost same as CR35 S B, which I think I will buy for my buddy.

I think the CR35S in Thailand has T8100 , I prefer the T8300 for sure but my friend does not care and does not even know what 's the difference between them.

But is it well built ? I mean I do not care about it last long but at least 2 years, and I read lots of users complaining of this model in Japan .........and wondering if HP service much better ?

Since I am leaving here in 2 months and after that my friend will have to deal with all computer problems himself and I am kind of afraid of it , especially sony has only one year local warranty and is not on site.

Does HP DV2700 series much better than this ? The sony is much cheaper , though I think HPs look more durable or solid , but my friend does not like the Flashy look of these HPs.

He actually prefers Toshiba , Acer or Sony , I myself like ASUS and Dell , but it does not matter what I like since it will not be mine.

Is Sony as reliable as Dell or ASUS?
