Hey all, having a hard time deciding between these two. I think in the end it'll come down to which screen size I like better. But anyway, I was reading the review on the CS here and it says the battery lasted just under 4 hours but there's a higher capacity battery. Does anybody know how long that one can run for?

And also, does anybody have any experience on the build quality between the CS and the MBP?

I saw both laptops. Regarding of the build quality, MBP 13.3 trashes CS. Personally, I think it is not a fair competition between CS and MBP.

The CS line isnt really on the price level of a MBP, with that, the quality isnt in line either.

The MBP has better built quality over the CS :)
the CS is just thick plastic, while the MBP sturdy alu surface.

The SR would be a fairer comparison. The CS is in a lower price bracket.

O ok, I've looked into the SR as well but I was thinking if I was going to get the same screen size I might as well get the MBP since it seems to have a much longer battery life. How long does the SR run with the higher capacity battery?

And so SR and MBP have about the same build quality?

I would say MBP still has better build quality, but SR is lighter and much more powerful in comparison to 13.3 MBP.

I currently own the CS110E which I purchased from Amazon. The plastic is used on the CS is very durable. Resists scratches and smudges very well. The bottom of the CS is made from a high quality metal alloy. So far so good with regards to quality from CS.

Well there is the slight pricier Z, which has better build quality than the CS or the SR, and imo equal to the MBP. But you do get 6 hours of battery life out of the standard battery, and was told 9-10 on the extended. Its also weighs the same as the MBA while having specs that equal and some aspects better the MBP offering.

You also have to remember the MBP has a beautiful screen so long as you don't use it in direct sunlight. My first gen MBP(CD model) with glossy screen option was okay in direct light and from what I have seen with friends 13in MBP it is harder to view in direct sunlight. I have not used a Z in direct sunlight, and don't remember if the SR is matte or not. But, based on my Vaio TT, which uses a similar screen type as Z, is a matte screen that is kind of glossy-ish, but better to use than my MBP in direct sunlight. Just something to think about when looking at a laptop.
