VT is disabled by default, but is an option in BIOS.

What is VT?
-
VT is virtualization technology:

Hit f2 on startup to get to the BIOS.
VT is Virtualization tech. Sony had a policy of disabling it on their computers and not giving the option to turn it on, even though the hardware supported it. More recent models have it as a bios option, but the CW wasn't on the list I saw, so its worth mentioning.
Why should you care? It allows you to run the windows XP virtual machine in windows 7. It can solve some compatibility issue with old software. Also if you want to go emulation, beta test stuff, etc its very useful.
Also this was the Best Buy model with the 330M and the 500g 5400rpm HDD, i5-520 cpu, 4g ram just so everyone knows. -
Did you run 3dmark06 at the default resolution?

The Vaio S sold at BB uses a 4500 Intel integrated.
Hot garbage in comparison. -
6000 3d marks is very respectable. Pretty much as good as you'll get without going to a 17" non-portable gaming laptop.
Can't really comment on the others, just I was asked to run them. A 5400rpm HDD isn't going to be anything special, but I know the processor is pretty quick. The i5 is supposed to be about 20% quicker clock for clock compared to the c2d. -
A little bit off topic, but how is the battery life on that laptop?
-
How on earth did you get 38 seconds for 32 million in Super PI!?!?!

i wonder how this will run bf bad company 2. hopefully itll be fluent on low details

I tested the CW27fx running WoW. I was running 1600x900 fullscreen with video effects at good. Around Dalaran fps can dip to the low 30s. Elsewhere, I get a solid 60fps. And it looks beautiful.
