the CW has the exact specs i want. would you guys still say its worth purchasing with the battery issue?
Also I showed the issue to a friend of mine at Intel he said he will mention it to his team, he works in the group that if Sony cant solve it they would raise it to his group in Intel.

to be honest, people here complained a lot about it but I think it's a great buy given the price. I dont have the high pitch sound problem, my bluetooth works fine, and i just changed the screen color a bit and use HDMI to connect to my external monitor. I bought it in sonystyle and got 10% discount. Battery drain isn't a big deal for me who use it plugged in a lot. I did not feel satisfied 100% with the color or the battery but you know, given my budget, given my need for a good laptop that can run my simulation, I didnt return it. I'm content.

you mean screen color? the one in the sony store looked just fine

it's a good machine, I like mine...
Too bad it doesn't have backlit keyboard... -
regarding the battery issue, if you come out of sleep and the battery is detected at the wrong lv, and you go ingot hibernate, if you pull the battery out then back in is it still re-detected wrong?

I love mine. Has the specs I've been looking for in a 14". High resolution and good gpu. I get just a little over 3 hours on mine if i'm surfing the web and checking email.

I just ordered mine in white from JR, should be here Wed.
Thanks guys. -
Yeah I will have to agree with everyone. It is a great package for the price. I went through many laptops before I settled on the CW. Mostly because I didn't want to spend over 1000, I needed something with a powerful CPU, and plenty of expansion for video editing and audio recording. It is a great package.
I will say though in response to stupidolive, yeah people complain. However when you purchase a laptop it should work as expected. Discussing a legitimate problem with a machine is not complaining. I have no other issues with this machine it is a great in all other ways. Although I second the request for a back lit keyboard.
Sony CW still good buy with Bat issue?
