I deleted the programs Click to Disc and Click to Disc Editor today and then realized they're kinda important for making movies. Does anybody know from where i can get those programs back ? I'd really appreciate it.

You could try looking in Recovery Center? I can't be more specific as I don't (yet) own a Vaio, but maybe you can select which components to install/uninstall?

nah, the file won't be in recovery center unless i've backed up the system. I guess the only solution is to search the program online. Does anybody know where i can find it ? Thanks.

Sorry I don't mean a backup you've made, I mean the bit where you can recover the machine to its factory state, or burn a recovery disc set onto DVD or whatever. I think that's called Recovery Center?

I can't believe Sony doesn't include discs. Every Dell I've ever owned has come with an MS Windows CD and a recovery disc containing all the software.

Are you planning to reformat it? if so, then you can boot to recovery partition or use recovery dvds.

Your sony has a hidden partition if you hit F10 when the vaio or sony logo first come up on bootup, you can enter the system recovery and reset your HDD to factory settings. Make sure you back up any personal data because it will reformat your c: DRIVE. Good luck, and post back to let me know if it works for you.

Hi zx8346, this is John E52T from Sony, not sure exactly what model you have but if you have click to disc you should be able to load it back from the built in recovery partition.

To do this click on the VAIO Help and Support icon that should be on your desktop.
    Click on Backup and Recovery
Click on Launch VAIO Recovery Center
On the new window click on Reinstall Programs or Drivers and click start.
On the next screen click Next (with skip selected).
If you can reinstall a program or driver you will see it on the list.
