    Hey guys!

I'm going to order an SZ laptop in the next couple of days and was wondering if any of you have any coupons to use on sonystyle.com or any other reputable sites.

I really want the SZ but its over my budget :( so i'm trying to look for ways to save every penny!

    Thanks

I suggest you purchase it from other places like amazon.com if you want to save money. Also, try pricegrabber.com. My friend got a TX850 for 2000 or so.

amazon had a core duo sz premium at 1600 just until yesterday. (orig. 2400)
as far as I know, I haven't seen sony give out any coupons.
Look around. Amazon usually has some good prices now and then.

I actually have a 50 dollar coupon on a purchase over 200 bucks that Sony gave me for my FJ270 woes ------ I don't remember if it's transferable or not, or when the expiration date is.

In any case, I don't foresee myself spending over 200 dollars at Sonystyle anytime soon, so if the expiration date is soon, and the coupon is transferable, maybe we can work something out. ;)

If you want to save a ton of money on a BX, SZ, TX or UX, I'd use their new trade in program.

    http://sony.tradeups.com/LandingPage.aspx?PromotionID=33

Trade in an old Sony for $600, or any other notebook for $400. Pick up a cheap Sony on eBay or Craig's List and trade it in and get a new SZ for much much cheaper!

WOW thank you so much for that!!!

It looks very intresting. So they accept ANY working laptop, doesn't matter how old?

Also, has anyone bought the SZ on buy.com or PCconnection. Are those trusted sites?

    Zones.com is another good one.

And yes, they accept pretty much any working notebook as a trade in. I know of tons of people who used their old promotion to get a BX series notebook, and had great success with it.

It seems like they only do it for 'business' laptops. What makes it 'business' i don't know....

When I bought my SZ-340, I was going to trade in my old PCG-K27, which they offered $400 for. However, I found my same computer on ecost.com for $400 less than they wanted on sonystyle and I was still able to buy an accidental damage warranty. So, it wouldn't have saved me anything to trade in.

actually, this is ironic but in order for the trade-in program to work you have to purchase it anywhere except sonystyle.com. so you coulve used it with e-cost.

I went to trade in my PCG-v505 and they didn't want to recognise it.
