I just got a Sony E Series laptop for Christmas. For the first couple weeks sleeping worked fine, when I opened the lid and woke it up, it came back to the log in screen as I wanted it to.

The last couple of days when I come back to my computer after putting it to sleep (closing the lid, as I had it set to), and wake it up, it comes up as "Resuming Windows" like it would if it went into hibernation because of low battery or something, which isn't the case as it's plugged in while it sleeps. Also, when it loaded up from this my battery was only at 48% whereas it had been plugged in for the whole day, which is also confusing.

Is this happening to anyone else? I've checked over the power settings and advanced power settings and found nothing. I thought maybe it was hybrid sleeping, but I have it set to off in all power settings. Also, I don't understand how half my batter power was gone if my laptop was plugged in all day.

    Thanks!

Edit: I should add that I'm using Windows 7.
