I recently bought a Sony VAIO computer and everything is great about it except one thing. I do not use any mouse to control my cursor. I use the small rectangular area to control the cursor. My problem is that when I use the area to control the cursor, my screen keeps zooming in and out and it really is starting to me off. What can I do to solve this without buying a mouse ? Thanks.

Another problem that I have is that when I scroll around with my cursor, it clicks on things I did not even click. It is very weird. Let me know what could be the problem. Thanks.

It is more likely your touchpad (the rectangular area you mentioned) issue rather than the screen. Sony Vaio E series has been known to have a jumpy cursor when the touchpad is used. Happened to me several times, I don't know why or how to fix it though, unfortunately :(
In my case it seemed to happen all of sudden, then the next thing I know it went back to normal.

Go inti Vaio Control Center - select "keyboard and mouse" and then pointing devices and adjust the sensitivity of the tapping feature.

I tried all that and it didn't work. In my case, the problem seemed to come and go. One minute the cursor is all over the place, zooming in and out webpages, etc.. then the next minute everything went back to normal. I wasn't using the touchpad too, simply resting my hand on the wrist area trigger that erratic behavior.

Odd - still within warranty/return period? - will most likely only get worse.

There's a zoom feature with the touchpad that I didn't like. I disabled this and no more resizing of my desktop and internet pages. I did not like how it accidentally zoomed in on things just like you say.

Right-click on the little touchpad looking picture on the bottom right of the screen and choose "Mouse Properties". Look around for zooming and turn it off.
