The computer has been running REALLY SLOW.

    I have a i3, a HD 5650 and 4 gigs of ram.

It used to run stuff like BC2 back in the day, now counter strike runs with 14-15 frames.

Its not just the games, even browsing and other tasks are running slowly.

I suspect it to be a hardware problem, most probably with my graphics card.

I have already gone to the sony store and once they deleted some files and the next time they formatted my HDD.

    Still the same problems.

Im new to this and all so please tell me if i need to provide some extra facts or anything.

You need to be more specific about the problem and what possible solutions you have already tried!?

Have you run any diagnostics, have you checked your HDD SMART Status, have you run RAM tests, what trouble-shootings have you done?

You can't say "My car doesn't drive fast enough" and expect a solution over a forum...

Well... in order to get any help or ideas over a forum you will need to learn about computers :)

You can use HDTune (A program you need to download and install) to see the smart and eventually run tests on the HDD.

You can run Windows Memory Diagnostic (built in Windows 7) to quickly check the RAM. It isn't the best option but I doubt your problem is with the RAM anyway. Worth checking though.

I used HDtune Pro trial version and it said everything is ok.

I checked in the health tab.

I also ran a couple benchmarks from HDtune and they seemed fine too.

Can you tell about some tools with which i can check my graphic card and processors status?

Well there is no such thing as "self diagnostics" of CPU and GPU. You can run benchmarking software and compare the results to those of other owners of the same components...

But basically you should have Vaio Care software installed. It has quite a lot of diagnostic stuff on it - look at it or install it if you for some reason don't have it.

Have you tried reinstalling the OS yourself and seeing if it changes the performance!? Could still be software-related...
