I am going to buy a Sony notebook from Buy.com and wanted to get some sort of extended warranty. Does anyone have experience with the Repair Plan offered through Buy.com? Here is the link: http://www.buy.com/retail/product.asp?loc=101&sku=202242878&PageFormat=5#wrnty.

It is cheaper than buying the Sony extended warranty, but if others have had bad experience than the cost savings means nothing.

Have you checked if your credit card already extends the manufacturer's warranty? Cards like American Express and other MasterCards/Visas do this.
