Hey guys. I bought a Sony F series about a week ago (it is configure to order). I ordered keyboard backlit with the customization. However, from the time i turned on my laptop until now, I never even seen the backlight come on . Now, I called sony customer support various times, but they either redirect me to somewhere else or they are providing the minimum support to me. I'm really fraustrated by these customer supports and hoping to identify whether the back light are installed or not. So before I bring it in to sony service center I wanna consult with all you guys, see if I could avoid these hassles.

Here is what I tried already.

    1. Reinstalled the Sony Control center and adjusted the backlit option.

    2. Resetted the laptop to the factory setting.

    Both these options didn't work.

So please help me!!!. the model No. is VPCF1290S (basically just the custom editing of the F series)
Thankn you all in advance for the help!

Backlight should work also when not being inside windows. My Z turns on the keyboard backlight when turning on the machine in a dark environment. Try that or find the light sensor and put a finger on that to dim the screen and light up the keyboard. If you call Sony, they should know what you ordered.
