    Hi everyone,

I just heard that Sony discontinued their current F serie model and are planing to release a new one this summer.

Is it true? If so, what are the modifications being made to it and approximatly when will it be released ?

    Thanks

    Aubsurmer

Yes, sorry i used the wrong word, not discontinued but that they are just seling the remainig of their stock and not "building" anymore until the new version.

Sony does some strange things recently. Vaio X is not available anymore after just 6 months in production. Vaio Z is not available with i7 anymore.

It will be any time now. The page for the Vaio Z12 that leaked last week included I7. The only question is when SS will finally make this available for order. I called today and was told only that the representative was aware of the Z12 but did not have information as to when it would be available. Given its availability (at least for order) in UK, AU and Germany, I would expect it could happen any day now.

^I'll put my money on the new F as being just a minor hardware update - like the i7-740QM or something like that
