Has anyone encountered this problem with their FE?
This happens when I click shut down, and then nothing seems to happen.
I therefore had to shut down by pressing the power button.
Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.
I just thought I might post here before calling Sony.
Cheers

It is a symantec thing Ive heard of two or three others with the same problem, just uninstall it its a major resource hog.
-
uninstall what Matt?? Can you provide more details please?
-
Another pm sent
-
yes i had the same problem, i unstalled the norton/symantec ****p and now its okay
-
Not sure it's fair to blame norton alone for this- i had the same problem even though practically the first thing i did was to uninstall norton! Also installed two prgs- pc booster and smart close (freeware)- between them they solved the problem
-
I never let norton start up so I never got the shut down problem.
-
If you disable norton, then what do you use for anti-virus?
By the way, you still need the recovery disk? I'll try and get some dvds from my bro and burn one for you when I have time. -
Yeah I really do need them >.< im discovering alot of issues without them, Do you use msn or yahoo messenger?.
-
I use msn.
