OK, so i goofed and attempted to wipe out vista and install xp on my sony, only to find that they dont support nor supply the proper drivers for XP. Go figure! I wiped the entire hard drive inc. their partition. Soooo, with Sony's recovery discs in hand, I have been attempting to do a clean install of wonderful vista and have had nothing but problems for the past 2 weeks. It seems to make it about halfway thru the 3rd disc and I get a message..."failed to apply customer image". It then tells me to reboot to complete the recovery process. And finally, I get "No Operating System Found". I have contact Sony 6 times without any useful info. This a close to a $2,000 laptop and as you can imagine, extremely frustrating. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Else, I've gotta give in an go to the nearest geek squad.

    Thanks.............
