Looking to buy this laptop however am worried about the old technology this laptop has. No duo core and integrated graphics. I mean the SZ has duo core and the FE does also, c'mon sony lets upgrade this machine! Does anyone know if sony will enhance this model to a duo core with better graphics? Have not seen many discussion articles about this notebook here. Any owner's out there who have one could you please share your opinion on it. Thanks.

They will probably upgrade the FJ to a Core Duo soon, and push the graphics to GMA950, I don't know about the possiblity of a dedicated gfx card....
I am not an owner of an FJ, but my best friend has a FJ150 (from costco) which has a PenM 740, 1GB ram, 80GB hdd, and DVD Burner. I have used it quite a bit, and I found it to be a very nice laptop. The screen is awesome, vry sharp and bright one of te best notebook screens I have seen, better than the one on the Fujitsu S7000 series (another friend of mine has one of those) and the keyboard was very nice, I liked it better to the one on the ThinkPad X40 Tablet. It was really fast as well, but the graphics seemed somewhat lacking on the need for speed most wanted pc demo. that was the only bad part I saw on the FJ, even the price was somewhat reasonable, since it was from Costco ($1250 for the one he got).

The FJ2 series is already out. Where did you see the press release. I did a google search for this, however found nothing. I know that the new FE series has the 128mb 7600 core duo but nothing about the FJ series.

According to the sonystyle.com website there is a FJ290 series out right now but does not have duo core. The next FJ series will probably be FJ300, hopefully with a duo core.

This notebook will NOT have a go7600. Go back and re-read the press release. It said the new FE20 series will have the go7600.
