    Hey everyone,

Just curious if anyone has heard word or rumors of a refresh for the Sony FJ series (14"). Right now it still has the old Pentium M CPUs, do you think Sony might refresh it soon with the upcoming Core 2 Duo chips?

All info or insight is truly appreciated!

    Thanks in advance!

The Duo Core will eventually replace all of the old Pentium Ms. Either it will be integrated into the FJ series or Sony will make a new series of Duo Core notebooks.

Thanks Phil17, and of course I understand that, but I guess my question is does Sony have plans to upgrade the FJ line with the new chips or are they going to do away with the 14" notebook line all together. I was hoping maybe somebody had some insight on it.

    Thanks again!

There was a article out some time ago about sony's plans for summer that had the FE with the 7600 which proved to be correct, they also had the FJ with Core Duo and 7600 but it dosent seem to have eventuated.

Not only sony, but also many other brands would be refreshed with CoreDuo and Core2. It means that upcoming model's design should be the same as the existing line's (FJ, SZ), with minor improvement.
