Hi really considering the FS series by Sony now. Saw it today in store, the mag body was very strong, and no matter how much pressure i put behind the screen, it does not create any distortions. Over here in Hong Kong, the model is called VGN-FS18GP. The sales told me Sony HK have upgraded the model to 1 stick of 512mb DDR2 RAM and 80GB 5400 RPM. The cost is around US$2050. Is this a good deal? Or would other models be better value? Im worried about the 6200 GPU. How does it perform? Is it at least on par with the X300?

    Thanks.

yeah, don't you love how sony, the worldwide leader in electronics, is making computers that can't be easily synched up to their top of the line televisions?

i was really hot on getting one of the s360's until i realized that sony refused to let you put a higher rpm HD unless you forked over $150-200 extra, and only includes a VGA out... wtf? how many people use a regular old CRT monitor anyways? and the vast amount of people who are buying a laptop would probably want to have the ability to hook it to a tv or a projector, if anything at all, which requires either s-vid or DVI. blech...

and it's not like the ATI 9700 doesn't support s-vid.. i hope they change their platform to include this in the near future, but am highly doubtful.
