My friend drop his Sony FS at a Knee high level to the carpet floor and after that, the screen is very dark.

I tried to turn the brightness back on by pressing FN and the other F key, it's at max but the screen is really dark.

    Any help?

what might be possible thing that might cause this?

I already disassemble the laptop but didn't find any loose cable, everything inside is pretty sturdy build.

Maybe on of the CCFLs (backlight) of the screen died?

yeah, if you can still see what's on the screen by putting a lamp way up close to it, the backlight probably died.
