I planned on purchasing my FW with the cheapest 64bit operating system (Home edition) and then installing Vista 64bit Ultimate from my MSDN subscription. Any problems with that?

I found some review last night where a person said they could not do this because the drivers they received from Sony were only for a certain OEM installation of Windows or something. He claims this is what he was told by Sony tech support. Sorry, I haven't been able to find that article again today.

Okay, you don't need to worry about that...you shouldnt have any problems. To successfully workaround this problem, you need to download the drivers for any FW which has 64bit drivers, and then use a program called universal extractor to extract the files from the installation packages. You can google the program to get more information etc. Hope this helps...let me knwo if you need more info

Thanks for the reply. I didn't figure it'd be too tough, but I've just never purchased a Sony before and wanted any input I could get.
