I have a VGN-FW140E. It is a little over 2 years old. In the past the monitor would change for a bit so that the view was very posterized and colors were way off. This problem would click in and out at times. A while back it became a full time problem.

I initially thought it was a problem with my screen calibrating software, but spent time with a tech from that company and determined it was not. I also had a Sony tech try to resolve this, without luck.

At this point I am assuming it is the graphics card that is the culprit. Is there anyway to repair or replace the graphics card or is it built into the MOBO? Should I bother or just start shopping for a new laptop? I am currently using my 7 year old Dell, that is how bad the screen is on my Sony.
