My steady state eSATA transfer speeds seem pretty low (~ 55mb/s), so I'm trying to see what others are experiencing. What kind of steady state transfer speeds are you seeing. Please list your Hardware: Laptop, Laptop CPU, Laptop HDD (w/ size and speed) and destination HDD specs, Native or PCI Express Card SATA. Thanks in advance.

    Operating System: Vista
    Computer: Sony VGN-FW200
    Processor: T580 2.0ghz Core 2 Duo
    Memory: 4gb
    Drive: Hitachi 500gb 7200rpm

    HD Tune: Hitachi HTS725050A9A Benchmark
    Transfer Rate Minimum : 41.4 MB/sec
    Transfer Rate Maximum : 97.2 MB/sec
    Transfer Rate Average : 76.5 MB/sec
    Access Time : 19.7 ms
    Burst Rate : 112.8 MB/sec
    CPU Usage : -1.0%

Destination Drive: Hitachi 2TB 7200 RPM 32mb Cache

    Xfer speeds: 55mb/s steady sate (105mb/s burst/start)

I switched OS to Windows 7 and ran a test on a Fantom 1tb drive with 16mb cache and saw speeds increase to 65mb/s.

What are you guys seeings? What kind of speeds should I be seeing?
