    Hi guys,

I've an FW11E - the basic version with a standard optical drive. I'm thinking about upgrading the drive to a BD, which I've seen second-hand - it comes from an FW51JF.

Just a couple of questions that I would be grateful for any feedback on.

I know the system itself is capable of handling the drive, i.e. graphics card, RAM etc, but I'm unsure about...

    1. Will it fit? I think it should do - I believe the drive is the same size as my standard CD/DVD drive.

    2. Will I be able to update the driver software without difficulty? I've had nightmares trying to update drivers on this Sony before now - a common problem I believe.

    3. What additional software / firmware (if any) will I need to be able to play commercial BDs? I've got VLC and can get DAPlayer, which I assume will play commercial BD discs? Do I need anything else?

    Cheers!
