    Sony FW11M HDMI output problem

    Hi,

    I have a FW11M and have connected it to my Dell 2407WFP monitor with a HDMI to DVI cable.

    But no picture is diplayed, the monitor is seen but shown in display properties, obviously I have tried multiple resolutions and so on with no joy.

    Any advice anyone.

    switching to external screen is a standard setting by applying the key combination FN+ the external screen icon. Repeated pressing usually switches between different modes: only laptop-only ext screen -both screens. Best, Oliver

    Hi,

    I tried that, and activating the second screen in display properties however the external monitor remains blank.

    Am I correct in assuming that any resoltion that works over DVI from my old laptop should work with HDMI to DVI on the same monitor.
