I'm trying to transport a picture to my sony ericsson w300i(Bluetooth enabled) and I keep getting this message...screenshot here.
The Bluetooth indicator light on my Vaio is on, so I don't see what the problem is. The only thing different is the fact that the Bluetooth icon is no longer in my taskbar. I think it's been replaced by the Switcher Utility. I have a screenshot of my taskbar too. screenshot here.
What can I do to solve this issue? For the record, I could send and receive files when the Bluetooth icon was on the taskbar.

Actually, "Bluetooth" icon you refer as is switcher icon as well. The only difference is, in your screenshot, both Wifi and bluetooth are on. When that icon only shows "B", only bluetooth is on and Wifi is off. You ca turn on/off each separately using switcher. Perhaps Wifi is interfering with bluetooth connection?

Hi, thanks for replying! I've just tried unchecking the boxes under Wireless LAN while leaving the box for Bluetooth checked and it still wouldn't send.
My Vaio can't even detect my phone and my phone can't detect my Vaio either. -
I have the new TZ series notebook. The bluetooth audio is not functioning. I am using my bluetooth mouse with no problem. I am having trouble getting the headset work. The computer sees the headset and pair it. It gives the right headset and handsfree profile with installation of the driver. The device manager says it is working. But when tries to connect to the headset it gives "parameter is invalid". Also under audio setting there is no bluetooth device. The bluetooth software is the one came with the system. Any one can give any idea to solve this issue??

Try rolling back the Widcomm bluetooth drivers. I presume you're using Vista, and I had the same problem, but resolved it using the following link...

Let me know how you get on,
Matt. -
