I'm deciding whether I should go for one of the Sony FZ's, specifially the FZ11S. However, I'm slightly concerned about the 8400 GT.
Will I be able to upgrade the GPU at a later date. I've heard something about MXM II which makes it easier to upgrade GPU. Do the FZ series have this?

Sorry, but the Sony's don't carry standardized graphics cards. What kind of gaming will you be doing? The 8400GT may be fine for you or you may need to get a notebook with the 8600GT.

You should visit Chaz's guide in the gaming forum if you have any questions about upgrading GPUs in laptops. On this particular model you can't. Maybe you should take the "What should I buy?" FAQ in the What should I buy forum if you haven't yet. That way you can get personalized recommendations from our fine members to help you choose a machine that will suit your needs including graphics power perfectly.

Yeh, I've made about three different threads in there, lol, after always changing my potential new laptop.
I'm just a bit wary on the 8400 GT, hopefully it will be able to handle sports games etc.

8400GT is adept in handling most games at medium settings and some even at high settings.
Unless you are a gaming freak, that should suffice for you.

Hmm, yeh, I only play less powerful games like Pro evolution soccer and need for speed. I would want to play games like Quake (the latest one) however, I had much fun playing quake 3 on my current dustbin computer :D

Initally, I wanted a notebook which had about the same graphics as the PS3, however I've been told that even an 8600 GT can't match the PS3. Btw, is that actually right?
