    the computer in question:
    sony fz
    nvidia 8400m GT
    2gb
    2.2ghz dual core

first question, im looking to play hl2, supreme commander and mostly lotro. i currently have a a radeon x550 1gb ram 2.2ghz desktop and am wondering if i would see a good improvement from the desktop to laptop

second question, any idea if the fz will come with a nvidia 8600m GT in the near future (i.e. by the middle of june)?

i love the FZ's style and have had good expierences with VAIO's in the past so am mainly looking for a VAIO.

    1) with your specs, the games you quoted should run like a charm, the 8400m GT is the fastest card in the 8400 series and should be able to match performance of midrange 7 series (as long as the drivers are good)

    2) In the past sony has stuck wiht the light series from nvidia's graphics cards for the S and F class notebooks, FS had geforce go 6200 series, FE had geforce go 7400 -7600 and I think for now sony will stick with the 8600m GT till nvidia does its next revision of the m series and does a die shrink to cut power/size/cost... but honestly with 1200x800 max resolution, the card in question should be able to rock your world.
