Hello all, first off I would like to say thank you for all the general knowledge on this site, I frequest it often!! So here's my dilemma....

I have a Sony FZ140 running Vista Home Premium with the x3100 integrated card. When I hook into my LCD HDTV through VGA it defaults to 1024x768 and will not give me any other options.

I've tried driver updates, but since Sony uses it's own version of the Intel drivers I cannot upgrade my driver unless Sony decides to upgrade. I've tried both the display properties and graphic properties to no avail.

My LCD natively supports 1366x768...is there any way to get this resolution with my laptop? Or just generic 720p (1280x720)?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Plug the TV in, go to the device manager, and change the driver for the new "monitor" from whatever it is to "Generic PnP monitor." Then it should give you some new options.
