I like to play games which require me to press more than 2 buttons at once. However when i press a third button that third button wont function... :[ is there a solution to this?

What three buttons? Except for adding the CNTRL, ALT and SHIFT keys, I don't think ANY keyboard will TRUELY allow for two keys at once, let alone three.

I've written low level assembler code that interacts with the keyboard and there is no way to read more than one key from the input port (the Shift,Cntrl and Alt, show up as bit modifiers on the input port).

Now having said that, some keyboards have "n" key rollover. Meaning as you hit two keys it will send the first one you press and then the second (you can't REALLY hit two at the EXACT same time) and while those are held down if you hit a third it will send that out, and if you hold the third and hit a fourth it will send it out as well. Bottom line here is that you are never hitting two, three or even four at EXACTLY the same time. There will always be a slight, (nanoseconds) delay between each one. My guess is the Sony keyboard does not have "n" key rollover. It may be limited to two key rollover. If so, there is nothing you can do, short of using an external keyboard.

To follow up on what ScuderiaConchiglia said, try this. Start Notepad, and then press and hold down Q. After the Q's start appearing in the Notepad window, without releasing Q, press and hold down W. You should see the Q's stop and the W's start in Notepad. Without releasing Q or W, press and hold down E. Continue this until the last key you pressed has no effect or stops Notepad from displaying any new characters. The "depth" you observe will likely vary with the keys you press and may be related to the rows containing the keys. On my desktop keyboard, I get anywhere from 3-5 key rollover. Let us know what you find out!

    Hello-

I have the same problem, and having made the test I can tell you that the depth goes upto "W", this is, 2.

Do you know any way so as to modify this?

    Thanks?
