This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Sony GRX-500 problem, can't use any resolution higher than 1024x768...

    I recently acquired a Sony PCG-GRX500 notebook with a 16.1" UXGA 1600x1200 display, as per the specs. However, even after changing my video card drivers, and installing sony's "LCD Driver", I can't go above 1024x768 without windows doing the virtual desktop scrolling thing.

    How can I correct this? Does anyone have a UXGA compatible monitor .inf file that may help? The laptop uses a mobility 7500 graphics chip, if that matters at all.

    Nevermind, apparently I have the 15" version, which is only XGA. Oh well.
