They don't really make gaming notebooks, at least nothing that will even come close to your XPS2.

They are expensive but not overpriced. Its excellence in design and quality are hard to beat. Few(or maybe no) domestic brands are able to design a delicate compact laptop with performance....It's quite like comparing a BMW or Benz to a Ford or a Buick...They just worth the price.
But for a american muscled monster like huge gaming machine there's no other choices than those domestic brands.

I disagree, I think most comparable Fujitsu models are as good or better. Of course they're not domestic, but who is?

Fujitsu are even more expensive, aren't they? They don't offer a dedicated graphics on compact laptops,if they do,you won't find so many people here deciding sony s360 or s460,lots of them will simply go for a fujistu...But people say Fujitsu has a very high buidl quality. By the way, anyone shares the feeling that Toshiba feels a bit like Toyota? Both conservative, both reliable, both names start with "To"...hehe :)

    Thanks for all the input.

I am scheduled to order my XPS2 on the 22nd of August or when ever a 40% coupon comes out near that date. My mom heard something the other from a computer specialist saying that "Dells have poor quality, I perfer Sony."

I know, for a fact, that the build quality of a Sony laptop is much better than a Dell. But Sony is very expensive and I could get a much more powerful machine from Dell.

    Thanks again.

They're not more expensive, though some models are about the same. Sony does have a nice advantage with the S having dedicated graphics, I really wish Fujitsu would get on that, but graphics cards aren't a quality issue at all.

Dell's list price are about the same with others, but almost everyone gets some big deals when buying a Dell like 40% off or 750 off 1500,the deals looks hot and on those websites like fatwallet Dell's various deals outnumber any other brands aggressively. It makes me feel that Dell's truth price should not be the list price but the $$$ you pay after a lot of rebates, coupons,xx% off... But for sony, a 750 off 1500 offer will simply be a sensation(S460 around $1000? Whoooaaa) and the company probably lose more money the more they sell...
