Previously, when i turned my laptop on it had these 2 grey lines that when i clicked on it, it had the option to turn the lan off/on. I was getting rid of some programs when i start up but i accidentally got rid of this icon. How do i get it back?

    Any help would be great.

It's a good choose to disable Boot programs from "Boot" menu of MSCONFIG
(run MSCONGIF from prompt) So, you can go back, re-enabling them..
Anyway, it should be the Sony Vaio Smart Network Utility, the executable is "LANutil.exe"

I tried searching it on my laptop and opened it but it just came up with a white box in the middle of the screen. Tried installing it again and it came up with an error. Hmmmm, might just leave it?
