I was hoping someone could direct me to a link or at least confirm I could purchase a larger capacity battery for my new laptop. According to Sony, I cannot do this.

If a 12cell or other battery is available for the Sony VAIO VPC-EB15FM laptop I would greatly appreciate it.

    Thanks!

Thanks for the link and response! After reviewing this and doing more research, it appears there is still some confusion if this is TRULY an "large" or "standard" size battery.

According to all other vendor sites who sell this battery, this model VGP-BPS22A is only a standard capacity battery. Only Sony is calling it a large capacity.

Any comments or clarification on this one ?

    Thanks!

Can you find out if it's large/ standard from the image in the Sonystyle site? I don't own a E series Vaio to be sure. The large capacity battery will extend out from the rear/ bottom.

Edit: From the model no. VGP-BPS (S-standard), price, and the specs (5000 mAH), it looks like a standard battery.
