    Hi,

I have a SONY VAIO laptop model PCG-Z1RA. Its in very good conditions and works without problem. Unfortunately, its function keys <Fn> are not working. Because of this, I m unable to change brightness of display, put the laptop on projector mode etc.

Can anyone please help me to get these keys operational.
Thanks in advance for any help.

    Vijay D.

Under what circumstances did they stop working? When I spent a whole afternoon optimizing my vaio I found my FN keys stopped working. It took me a while since I didn't do it the smart way and change 1 thing at a time, but I found it had to be my windows XP services. I enabled all of them and the FN keys worked again. You can leave all the bad ones (remote login etc) off, but if you're not 100% sure it affects the FN keys, turn it on and go through 1x1.

If this doesn't work, use your recovery disks and install the utilities package.
