any problem if i always used this SLEEP mode? its easy for me to open my laptop instead of normal "start" button.

i'm not aware of any effect or might corrupt any application or my OS if i always used this SLEEP mode button.

normally how many hours can i put my laps at sleep mode?

    thanks in advance!

For XP, I personally use hibernation which save the RAM to the HDD and then switches the computer off. When you start the computer it copies the special file on the HDD back into RAM with everything as you left it. How long the process takes depends on how much RAM you are using.
