Does anyone know why this happens on my Sony vgn-sz110b?

Whenever I unplugg my laptop from the AC, after 2-4 minutes the screen flickers for a few seconds, then it just turns black. This ONLY happens when I unplugg it from the ac.

Everything is still running and working fine when the screen turns off. When I plug it back in it still remains off, untill I shutdown pc.

I turned off the power settings, so I know its not from that.

    Any ideas?

That seems like a weird problem.

I found a workaround for my problem.

Whenever this happens I have to press the FN + F12 key (standby or hibernate?) then I move my mouse or press a button to come out of standby. Then it starts working fine.

I just noticed that when this problem happens my battery indicator goes missing from the taskbar. Its already enabled in the settings, it just vanishes sometimes

I think it has something to do with the OS or Sony programs that monitor the battery ?? Because I did a fresh install and manually installed the sony progs.

Are you using the latest Intel drivers or the stock Sony drivers? If latest Intel, try using original Sony drivers.
