Has anyone used their on-site repair for warranty work? It will be 2 weeks by the end of this week. Tech called last Thursday and said he was to busy to come. Called Sony Monday and they said the Tech would call me that day. He never called. Called late that day and was told a manager would call me between 8-12. They never called.

Not very good service. When I called support I was expecting to ship it back then was told we had on-site warranty. It would be nice to get a phone call just to arrange a date for the repair. It my daughters laptop who is in college so she had to leave it here.

    Thanks

I called Sony on a Thursday. The contracted repair person brought out the fan and did the repair on Monday.

I had a problem with an optical drive and the tech came out two days later and replaced it with an updated part.

I guess it depends on where you live and who they have on contract to do the work.

Well the Tech called and showed up today. He was contracted through Qualserv. Seemed to do a good job on the repair. Maybe they were reading the board.
