I am new to the whole Sony thing. I have a VGN-750D/B. I see every combination of lettering known to the millenium man in the product numbers for Sony laptops.
What does the 750 mean? How many numbers (750) are there?
What does the D/B mean?

Here's a detailed description of your model at Amazon (looks like Sony advertizing): http://www.amazon.com/Sony-VGN-Z750...9BOM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1248654102&sr=8-1
And here's the U.S. support page where you can link off to drivers, etc.: http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/model-documents.pl?mdl=VGNZ750DB&LOC=3
As for the lettering combinations, you can mosey around the esupport.sony.com site and see the models and the specs, although Sony doesn't always get the specs up as quickly as one would like. Here Amazon has them for your model but the esupport site does not! -
D - Windows Vista Business 64-bit
