It seems like one of the bulbs on the bottom right side died so I get a very dark area...

Took the laptop to the service centre and they are gonna replace the whole screen under warranty within 5 days as my particular screen was not available.

Anyway, good stuff from SONY. but it's surprising the screen had to be changed and my laptop is only 7 months old.

Sounds like a premature failure. I'm glad Sony is stepping up to the plate and replacing the screen.......like they should. After much research I ordered a Sony FZ290 a few days ago. From this group I've learned EVERY manufacturer has some problems so it is important to have a good warranty. I've had a Sony desktop for over 3 years and it's been fine. Most all the quirks come from software. Al
