    Sony S5XP - how much video ram

    I have just bought a sony S5xp which is suppose to have a NVIDIA GeForce GO 6400 with 128MB support adaptor altough when i check the system info it shows 256MB Ram :) ..has the card been updated or is this a system problem..i would be interested to see if anyone else has this problem

    I think it has a 128 meg dedicated graphics card and can use an additional 128 megs of system ram to boost performance if you wish.

    Search around the forum but someone has posted that once you have a installed a certain amount of system ram the card automaticaly upgrades to the higher amount, the dedicated graphics ram obviously stays the same but it just ups the ram it borrows from your stystem

    I think if it's 1GB and above, the video ram will be 256

    thanks make sense as the s5xp has 1gb ram..do you know how much dedicated video memory it has (32mb or 128mb)

    1 have 1gb of ram and it shows 256 as well.
