    I keep reading about this BIOS update that reduces the fan noise and I haven't been able to find it. Is there somewhere I can download it or should my BIOS already be updated (just purchased laptop a month ago)?

    Could someone please direct me to where I can get it? Thanks in advance.

    Open up VAIO Update, click "check for updates" and you should be able to find it.

    VAIO Update shows no updates available. My current BIOS is INSYDE R1031H4, 25/04/2011.
