So I got the S series back in December and I fresh installed it with win 7 ultimatum since I get it cheap as a student. However, I have encountered two problems so far. Sometimes when I recover from sleep it would not be able to recognize an "unknown device" under usb controller. I thought it was the sony parse driver but it was still in device manager. Does anyone know why this is happening or how I can troubleshoot it?

the second problem is actually more serious. sometimes when I close my lid it would not go to sleep as I set it so. If I open the lid again the screen wouldn't come on and the computer is still on. I would always need to do a hard shut down then restart. I wasn't too worried about it until I found it burning up in my laptop sleeve today and thank god it didn't catch on fire or anything. Has anyone experienced this and know how to fix it?

I am hoping these two problems are related so I can solve them together. I am guessing I missed a driver in the sony support site, but I am sure I installed everything.

    Thank you for the help.
